The Moon
I took this picture at Lulworth Cove. I used a Nikon D70, Jessops 2.0 Teleconverter and a Zoom -Nikkor 70-300mm f/4~f/5.6 G Shutter speed 1/1000s and f 5.6. I am quite happy with it but how could I have got a sharper image? Any suggestions? (See below the picture for some that I have received).
I received some suggestions from Franz Keller:
– always use a tripoid, even wehen the exposure time is very short.
– donĀ“t use zoom-lenses
– the moon should be high in the sky, not close to the horizon
– full moon is not so interesting. In the days before ore after first quarter the craters have long shadows
– turn off the auto-focus
– to control the focus use the life-view of your camera or a laptop screen
– focal length should be minimum 500mm, better 1000 mm
