Telc is an amazingly beautiful little town in South Moravia. After a fire in the late fourteeth century, the houses of Telc were rebuilt in stone and since that time, little has changed in the centre of Telc. It makes an excellent place to wander around for a day,and there is also plenty see in the surrounding area. Click on the images below to make them bigger. |

While there are buildings outside of the main square, they are not of great interest and are a marked contrast to the great beauty of the buildings inside the main square. | |

At the southern end of the square there is a large church (1667) and a chateau buit in the late fourteenth century Despite a couple of fires, the chateau is still standing and is now open to the public. | |
