rollex?
Is it a rollex? Is it an acurust? No, it's a scrubber cover! It is elegant, stylish and has that certain "je ne sais pas" that other gifts don't have. Buy her a pair of scrubber covers and she'll never slip away. But wait, scrubber covers are not available in shops, they're not even available online. So you'll have to make your own. Keep reading to find out how to produce your own scrubber covers for the one you love.
basic equipment

You'll need:

a piece of elastic about 28cm long and 1cm thick.

a piece of velcro at least 5cm long.

a doughnut scouring pad

needle and thread.

theading it through the wire mesh
Stretch the wire mesh slightly (though don't cut it) and push the elastic through somewhere near the middle then out through the other side of the 'doughnut'. Sew the strips of velcro to the ends of the elastic.
the finished product
And that's it! Your scrubber covers are ready for action! For tough conditions, you may want to use two pieces of elastic with velcro.
on a boot
Ready for the red carpet - though don't wear them indoors or they'll make a mess of the carpet, parquet, tiles, etc.
sole music
The scrubber cover in place.
scrubber cover in action
Will this hiker ever slip on ice again?

Can you imagine the reaction of your loved one when you present her with a pair of scrubber covers on Valentine's Day? Speechless, probably.

Update: Using scrubber covers, I found that the velcro wasn't strong enough to hold the scrubber cover in place. A better solution is to simply tie a knot in the elastic in the middle of the scrubber cover ring and then stretch it over your boot. Hope that helps.
