| Just the photo is enough to make you hungry! A fancy spread at a lovely reataurant in Arequipa. The dips were incredible! | |||
| Another cheap, but great, Peruvian meal. This was fish soup. Not sure why it was that colour... | |||
| A wonderful Peruvian breakfast in a village on the edge of the Colca Canyon. Note the coca leaf tea. There is a big debate whether it should be legalised. I have noticed no apparent side effects of drinking it - at least not yet. | |||
| Er, not too clear in the little picture, click on the image to see it enlarged. These are cuy, pronounced 'cwee', which is an approximation of the noise that guinea pigs make. I had one - it was not bad but very little meat on it - not surprising really. They would probably be much better stewed rather than roasted as the meat would come away from the bones far more easily. | |||
