I took this picture at Lulworth Cove. I used a Nikon D70, Jessops 2.0 Teleconverter and a Zoom -Nikkor 70-300mm f/4~f/5.6 G Shutter speed 1/1000s and f 5.6. I am quite happy with it but how could I have got a sharper image? Any suggestions? (See below the picture for some that I have received). |

I received some suggestions from Franz Keller: - always use a tripoid, even wehen the exposure time is very short. - don´t use zoom-lenses - the moon should be high in the sky, not close to the horizon - full moon is not so interesting. In the days before ore after first quarter the craters have long shadows - turn off the auto-focus - to control the focus use the life-view of your camera or a laptop screen - focal length should be minimum 500mm, better 1000 mm To see Franz's moon pictures, click on http://www.volkssternwarte-gundremmingen.de/vsg.htm |
