Cyprus outside Nicosia

There is a lot to see in Cyprus. Some people are happy to lie on sun bed and drink cocktails all day - which is great as it leaves the unspoilt areas, er, unspoilt.
		I was taken to an interesting village called Fi cardou, about 50km from Nicosia. It was just getting dark when we arrived so the pictures of the village didn't come out very well. Instead, here is a shot of the foothills of the Troodos Mountains.

		After Nicosia, I travelled to Larnaca and stayed at the Sandy Beach Hotel. This is the view from my room.
		And later that night... Being there was better.
		In Larnaca, there is a cathedral called St Lazarus. An oasis of calm - this is a one of the few car-free pictures I managed to take in the area.
		Just south of Larnaca there is a large salt lake (next to the airport). I hiked around the lake - and took about 30 pictures of this little guy - this was the only one that 'worked'. Ah, the joys of digital photography.
		This a large Greek Orthodox church in Limassol. Lovely architecture - and part of the old town, which has quite few old buildings, some excellent restaurants and a very talented barber!
